This “Travel Made Easy” post will give you an overview of all you need to know about Singapore Airlines, my favorite premium airline – the facts & figures, the experience flying with them and the inside scoop of their reward program, KrisFlyer!
Facts & Figures: Singapore Airlines (airline code SQ) is based out of Singapore’s Changi Airport (SIN). They serve 64 destinations in 35 countries around the world with one of the youngest fleets in the industry consisting of 107 widebody planes.
Skytrax rates Singapore Airlines as a 5* airline (one of only 7 in the world) and SQ has been in the Top 3 of the World Airline Awards for each of the last six years.
Airline Ratings is giving them a perfect 7 (out of 7) safety rating.

The Experience: All those awards are well deserved – Singapore Airlines offers one of the best experiences you can find in the air! Whether you are flying Economy, Business or First Class, you are likely to have a better time on SQ than most other airlines with great hard products and consistently outstanding service! The Rewards? With some of the best products in the industry, award flights on SQ are highly sought. While SQ is a member of StarAlliance, it’s KrisFlyer rewards program gives its members preferred access to those coveted seats! What makes it even more interesting is SQ’s relationship with credit card companies, allowing even members outside Singapore to transfer points into the program to top up their accounts. And as a miles-based program, you could even earn more miles on United flights than in United’s own MileagePlus program! Read more about that here!
