This week both Philippine carriers announced big sales – Philippine Airlines has an anniversary sale with low fares for domestic, international and business class fares. And Cebu Pacific has a sale for both cash fares and GetGo Rewards points! Find the details and some of the best deals below!
Philippine Airlines is offering domestic economy flights across their network starting at PHP586 one-way, all-inclusive. Most routes are less than PHP1,000, with popular flights to Caticlan/Boracay and longer flights to Mindanao up to PHP1,500. The fares includes one check-in luggage, a drink/snack on some routes and 50% of Mabuhay Miles as on other promotional fares. You can find all domestic sales fares here!
International Economy fares are also on sale, with good deals to Kuala Lumpur from US$106, Bangkok from US$171, Bali US202 and flights to the US and Canada starting from only US$489! Flights to Australia start at US$374 and to London from US$582. All fares are roundtrip, taxes and fees are included to the US but not all destinations. Checked luggage, food and drink are always included. They vary for travel between now and August 31st and from September 1st to December 10th. Find all the international fares here!
You can also purchase Business Class fares, although I was not impressed with some of the fares – we saw much better deals at the TravelExpo in February. The best fares on the list now are from Cebu to Los Angeles from US$1,359 and to London from $1,538. All fares are roundtrip, taxes and fees are included to the US but not all destinations. Checked luggage, food and drink are always included. They vary for travel between now and August 31st and from September 1st to December 10th. Find all the international fares here!
All of those fares are available for Mabuhay Miles Elite and higher members immediately for purchase at a PAL ticket office and for everybody else online starting March 15th.
Cebu Pacific Airlines also has a cash fare sale, with domestic fares starting at PHP599 for select routes. Most routes are PHP1,099-1,299.
International fares start at PHP1,599, for example Manila to Taipei or Clark, Cebu & Davao to Singapore. Other good international deals are Manila to Tokyo or Osaka from PHP3,099 and Manila to Sydney from PHP4,159.
Fares are one-way, all-in, but as always with Cebu Pacific don’t include luggage, seat assignments or food/drink. You can see all promo fares here!
CebuPac is also doing a GetGo Rewards sale in parallel, with all domestic and international destinations available from only 10 points. That’s a deal so good that the demand of people trying to book overwhelmed their web site – I was not able to look for any available seats, so have patience and keep trying here!
UPDATE: I tried again late in the day and was able to access the Cebu Pacific Sale – and seats are still available. I was able to find round-trip tickets to Taipei, Taiwan and Sydney, Australia, each for 20 points + taxes and fees – that’s as cheap as it will ever be! Good luck and happy hunting!
