You are starting your dream trip in Bangkok, the City of Angels. You are staying at the ibis Sathorn or ibis Nana, enjoying a modern room at a modest price. On your first day, you explore the history of the Siam kingdoms, visit the Grand Palace and Wat Po and you see the city from the Cha Phraya river. In the evening, you enjoy the spectacular views over the city from one of the many rooftop bars. Your next day, you shop till you drop at the many malls along Sukhumvit Road, starting with Terminal 21 and ending at MBK, both uniquely Thai malls. You spent the evening on the river, enjoying the outdoor market, food and entertainment at Asiatique!
On the third day, you fly from Bangkok to Siem Reap, Cambodia, to visit the ancient temples of Angkor Wat! You check into one of the many budget hotels for four nights and get ready for three busy days of sight seeing. In the morning, your tuk tuk driver picks you up to see the beautiful temples of Banteay Srei and Angkor Wat. You spend the evening in downtown Siem Reap, enjoying great food, drinks and music! On your second day, your private tour continues and your driver takes you to the jungle temple you might now from the Lara Croft movie, Ta Phrom, and to the ancient temple city of Ankor Thom. You enjoy a massage to relax your legs from two days of walking around the temples and another dinner in town. On your third day, you can visit some of the outlying temples, scour the markets for souvenirs to take home or have one, last massage at a bargain price!
You return to Bangkok for one more night of great food at Soulfood Mahanakorn and some last minute shopping, before returning home! In just one week, you have seen the history of two great civilizations, had fun in one of the most vibrant cities of Asia and had a chance to shop for arts, crafts and global brands and enjoy amazing food along the way!
