Deal Dispatch: Hotel Deals & Promotions!

This week’s Deal Dispatch focuses on hotel deals and promotions. They become increasingly rare in the busy summer travel season, with hotels full and prices sky-high. So, it’s good news that Accor is running another of their large “private sales” and IHG has their popular PointBreaks reward stays for only 5,000 points per night! Find the details after the break!

Accor has typically had a “Private Sale” roughly every quarter, but it seems like they are picking up the pace, so there is another one now through August 4th, with discounts up to 50% off for stays through February 2017. The discounts and the stay periods vary by region: In the UK, Germany and Austria it’s up to 25% off and includes breakfast. In Asia and Australia, it’s up to 40% off and in Africa and the Middle East up to 50%. I’ve already snatched a good deal in the Philippines, but was not impressed with prices on Bali, so your mileage may vary depending on where you want to go! It is the best time to book Accor hotels, so if you have travel plans coming up, check out the sale to find some good deals here!

Intercontinental Hotels Group started their quarterly PointBreaks promotion again this week, offering hotels for 5,000 reward points per night – or only $30/night! With hotels typically running from 10,000-60,000 points/night, that can be a great deal if it fits your plans. I’ve been lucky a few times, for example at the very good Holiday Inn Helsinki, but recently had trouble finding something that worked. This quarter includes the InterContinental Phnom Penh, a beautiful city worth visiting! As always, the hotels get snatched up quickly, so check the list out and book here!
