You get a small room with upscale finishes and fast internet, as well as professional service and a very good breakfast. You’ll have a nice rooftop pool, but are not oceanfront. While most visitors to Taiwan focus on Taipei, Taiwan has some amazing wilderness to explore. The mountains across the island are steep, the forests dense and the mountain streams crystal clear. My favorite place to hike is Taroko Gorge, a short high-speed train ride from Taipei, Taiwan. It’s a great nature getaway from the busy city and worth a side trip!
