The Blue Lime Hotel Phnom Penh is in a great location near the Royal Palace, on a quiet alley. You escape into a resort-style property with a nice pool and lush greenery. The rooms are modern and it good condition, making this a great choice for a visit to Phnom Penh. Read my Blue Lime Phnom Penh review to see if it is a fit for you!
Location: The Blue Lime Hotel is located on a small alley just behind the Royal Palace in the heart of Phnom Penh. You can reach the Palace and the National Museum on foot in a few minutes, as well as countless bars, restaurants, coffee shops and night clubs, making this a great location to explore Phnom Penh. The ride to the airport is between 45-90 minutes depending on the traffic. Because it’s down a small alley, the ever-present traffic noise of Phnom Penh is not an issue at the Blue Lime Hotel.
Room: The Blue Lime has several room categories. The Standard Rooms are compact with a four-poster bed with mosquito net, a very romantic looking setup. A bed sofa provides space to relax – or for a third person. A desk with chair to work, a TV, fridge, laptop size safe and coffee/tea facitlites complete the room. The curtains, artwork and pillows in bright colors provide some modern and fresh touches.
The bathrooms are clean, and have a toilet, sink-on-counertop and a shower enclosed with glass bricks, making it look a little outdated.
Deluxe Rooms have the same decor and are a little bigger and gain a small outdoor balcony with padded bench and table, all surrounded by greenery.
The high-light and ultimate treat at the Blue Lime Hotel are the Private Pool Rooms. You have a small pool accessible only from your room for your private pleasure….
Restaurant & Amenities: What you wouldn’t expect when you arrive in the little alley is the resort pool you’ll find when you step through the lobby. It’s surrounded by lush greenery, making you feel more like you are in the rain forest than surrounded by a bustling city! You’ll have padded loungers on one side and cabanas with white cloth curtains on the other side, inviting you to relax from a day of sightseeing (or partying) in your very private jungle!
Overlooking the pool area and with the same, great ambiance is the restaurant, serving breakfast, lunch and dinner.
Bottomline: The Blue Lime Hotel Phnom Penh offers modern rooms in a beautiful oasis of peace, quiet and lush greenery in the chaotic city. During my visit, the price for a standard room of $70/night is great value for what you get! If this sounds good, but you want a treat yourself to a little more luxury, check out the sister property Plantation Urban Resort.
