After a day of sightseeing or walking the malls of Manila – or just a tough day at work or being stuck in traffic – you deserve a treat. And The Spa in Manila is a great place to pamper yourself! And with low prices, you don’t even have to feel guilty about it!
If a place calls itself The Spa, it better be good… and The Spa delivers. Manila, similar to Bangkok, has small massage shops in every neighborhood, offering massages starting at less than $5 per hour! While many of them are ok, if it is time for a more luxurious treat, The Spa is a much better choice! With seven locations around the Manila Metro, located mostly in upscale shopping areas and hotels, including Makati Greenbelt and Bonifacio High Street, chances are one is close to you during your visit!
They offer a range of services, from various facials to body treatments – how about a Coffee Rub or a Red Wine Sparkler? If you are looking for even more treatments, they are co-located with skin dermatology and laser treatment centers. I haven’t tried any of the above, but I’m a fan of their massage services! They offer a whole range of foot and body massages and you can have them tailored to your liking. The staff is well trained, professional and polite, and I found massages to be very consistent. It’s one of the few spas in Asia that I never had a bad massage from, they range from ok to great!
The Spa has a variety of facilities, starting with shared (male and female separate) changing rooms, showers and steam room. Your massage treatment can be done in shared rooms (again similar to Thailand) or in private/couples rooms. If you’d like a little more luxury, you can opt for a “villa/suite” with private changing, shower/steam/jacuzzi and massage facilities. They even have a “sparties” space for group events!
The prices vary of course with the length of services and the room chosen, starting with 1,020P for 60 minutes massage in a shared room, 1,320P in a private room and 1,870P in a villa. All guests have access to the wellness area with a steam room or sauna (not all locations).
You can also treat yourself to a facial, mani-pedi or all kinds of other body treatments. They offer treatments specifically designed for men as well, so you don’t need to stay home!
You can find their locations, facilities and full menu here! It’s a great way to relax in the big, crazy city that is Manila – enjoy!
