More than 100 hotels for 5,000 IHG points – IHG PointBreaks Promotion starts today!

Each quarter, the IHG Rewards Club PointBreaks promotion is hotly anticipated: You can book hotels for only 5,000 points (worth $25) per night around the world, one of the best bargains among hotel award programs. From today, October 30th, 2017 through January 31st, 2018, you can book a free night at more than 100 hotels – check out the full list and my tips to book in my review!

IHG Rewards Club is one of my favorite hotel reward programs – it offers great reach with more than 5,000 IHG hotels around the world, including luxury hotels like the InterContinental Hotels Bora Bora or IC Hong Kong.

The PointBreaks Promotion offers a selection of hotels available at a discounted rate of only 5,000 points/night (regular rates are 10,000-60,000 points/night). That makes IHG PointBreaks one of the most popular promotions for award stays and hotels tend to sell out quickly, often within hours of availability! I recommend to look at the list of available hotels below, pick one that works for your travel plans – or inspires you to make new plans – and get ready to book as soon as possible. The IHG PointBreaks rule allow you to make two bookings per hotel only. If you have to cancel your booking later, and the PointBreaks rate is no longer available, you (or anybody else) will not be able to rebook, so I recommend to only make bookings you’ll likely to use.
If you don’t have enough points for the length of stay you are planning, you can currently purchase points at a 100% bonus for less than 0.6cents/point, resulting in a rate of less than $30 night under this promotion. You can purchase points here!

The only hotel on the list I have stayed at is the Holiday Inn Melaka, Malaysia. It’s close to the old town with it’s historic fort from the Dutch era and narrow streets with great food. I’m planning to book a stay here, it’s a great destination and great value!
