NowLive: InterContinen Hotels Group (IHG) is running regular PointBreaks promotions for their Rewards Club loyalty program. You can book award stays at select hotels at reduced rates of 5,000, 10,000 or 15,000 points per night. This quarter, the list contains 95 hotels and only a few at 5,000 points a shorter list than before. But they still offer some of the best value redemptions at IHG Hotels and it’s worth to check if there is something that fits your travel plans!
The most recent promotion runs from February 25th, 2019 and IHG didn’t provide a preview of the complete list – they only “teased” the following four hotels:
- InterContinental Pattaya (Thailand) – 15,000 points
- InterContinental Sofia (Bulgaria) – 15,000 points
- Hotel Indigo Mt. Pleasant (South Carolina) – 15,000 points
- Crowne Plaza Manchester (United Kingdom) – 15,000 points
It’s exciting to see some luxury and upscale hotels on the list and the InterContinental Pattaya is certainly very good value at 15,000 points (regular 35,000). It’s still high-season in Thailand and the cash rates for a weekend night in March is $150 – or 1cent/point value, double the typical value of an IHG Rewards Club point!
Another Bangkok hotel, the relatively New Indigo Wireless Road, is also on the list!
I’d expect these hotels to go quickly, so I’d recommend to check the full PointBreaks list of hotels now, hotels are availableato book!
As always, you can only make two reservations per hotel, so some people don’t block the whole PointBreaks inventory without having set travel plans. Make sure to check the cancellation period at each hotel before booking, so you don’t have any surprises.
If you are a little short on points for your dream vacation, IHG is currently selling points with a bonus of up to 75% (or 0.57 cents/point). While their best promotion usually offers a 100% bonus and prices of 0.5ct/pt, this could still give you a good discount over a cash rate and is worth considering to top off your account for an immediate booking! It’s available through February 28, 2019!
Good luck and I hope you find some bargains for your travel plans.
