Good value hotel in central location: Manor House Boutique Hotel Phnom Penh

The Manor House Boutique Hotel Phnom Penh is independently owned and offers quiet, clean rooms, a pool and restaurant in a central location of Phnom Penh at very low prices, making it a good value option for your visit. With the many restaurants, bars, spas and shops of the expat area Boeng Keng Kang nearby, it’s a great choice for return visitors to Phnom Penh on a budget!

Location: The Manor House Boutique Hotel Phnom Penh is located near the Independence Monument on a quiet neighborhood street, putting it between the Royal Palace and the expat area of Boeng Keng Kang (BKK1). The Royal Palace is a 10 minute taxi ride or 20 minute walk and the bars and restaurants of BKK1 are 5-15 minutes walk away. The ride to Phnom Penh’s airport is 45-90 minutes, depending on traffic.

Room: The Manor House has several categories of Double and Twin rooms with slight differences in size and features, located throughout what has the feel of a villa!
During my site inspection I viewed a Standard Double located on the ground floor with a size of approx. 18sqm. The room has a window facing a wall and was a little dark, but well maintained and clean. It has a double bed, a chair in the corner and some artwork on the walls. It’s equipped with a TV, coffee/tea facilities, mini fridge/bar and a safe.

The bathroom had mosaic tiles, a walk-in shower with curtain, a toilet and large vessel-on-countertop style sink with plenty of space for your toiletries.

The Superior Double was also on the ground floor, a little bigger and had similar decor and features.

The bathroom was similar, but had a nicer shower with a full glass enclosure.

If you’d prefer a brighter, larger room, you might want to consider the higher category rooms on the upper floors or with a balcony!

Restaurant & Amenities: The Manor House has a small pool, surrounded by plants and equipped with two rows of loungers at the end. While it’s not as nice as some of the other resort pools at hotels in Phnom Penh, it’s a nice place to relax and take a dip after a hot day!

The hotel restaurant is located next to the pool and offers breakfast, lunch and dinner. It has a menu of Asian and Western dishes offered at very reasonable prices. I didn’t have a chance to try it during my site inspection.

Bottomline: The Manor House offers basic, but nice and clean rooms in a villa setting with a small pool in a central location. During my visit in high-season, prices were around $40/night – the lowest of any of the hotels I reviewed in Phnom Penh and very good value for what you get! If you are a return visitor to Phnom Penh and want a quiet hotel and a great deal close to BKK1, the Manor House Boutique Hotel Phnom Penh is a good choice! You can check current prices here!
