Deal Dispatch: Norwegian Air to Europe from $150ow, South Africa from $770rt

This week’s Deal Dispatch brings you cheap flights to Europe and around the continent, courtesy of discounter Norwegian Air! You can also venture to Africa with Delta, starting at $770 round trip. For your hotel needs, check out IHG Rewards and their just released PointBreaks promotion, with hotels from 5,000 points per night (or $35!)

Flights: I have featured sales from Norwegian Air a few times and they seem to become a permanent fixture! Their CEO said that they are targeting $69 flights from the US to Europe (read here), so you can expect more great deals from them! I would suggest to sign up for their emails to keep you posted on sales to Europe and around Europe. Here are some examples of available fares, all one way:
San Francisco/Oakland – Stockholm: from $159
Los Angeles – Oslo: from $176
Fort Lauderdale – London (GTW): from $182
New York – Copenhagen: from $153
They also have flights within Europe starting under $50 one-way, so you can put together your very own explorer trip of Europe! Start your search here!

If you’d like to venture further afield, Delta is currently offering flights from Boston to Johannesburg, South Africa, starting from $770 round-trip. You can fly through early Dezember or from early January to March, with a connection in Atlanta! From Johannesburg, you have access to Cape Town, Kruger National Park or many of the destinations in my trip from Cape Town to Victoria Falls! You can find the tips how to book it on TheFlightDeal!

Hotels: If you need a hotel for your stay, check out IHG Rewards’ PointBreaks. The list for the hotels available from October 31, 2015 to January 31, 2016 has been released and is available for booking! You can book a stay for only 5,000 points (equivalent to $35) and there are a few gems on the list, like the Holiday Inn Bali Benoa ($90> during this period). You can explore all the beauty Bali has to offer from there! If you want to explore the destinations in South Africa mentioned above, there are a few hotels in Johannesburg, South Africa, to get you started. The Holiday Inn Sandton is in one of the better parts of town or you can stay at the Holiday Inn near the airport for a short stay-over. You can find the full list here – and be quick, the best ones sell out soon!
