This week’s Deal Dispatch looks at currently available hotel rewards promotions to make the most out of your hotel points. While winter is often slow for hotels in the Northern hemisphere, there are surprisingly few good hotel rewards promotions to fill those empty rooms. My favorite ones this season are Accelerate from IHG Rewards, Club Carlson and Marriott!
IHG Rewards Club is running, again, their Accelerate promotion with customized offers for each member. In my case, I can earn more than 30,000 points (or $180 value) with a single paid night. I might be able to meet that goal with a single night at a Holiday Inn Express hotel for under $60! It’s running through April 15th, I reviewed it in detail with tips and tricks to earn a big bonus here and you can sign up for your offer at the Accelerate Site!
Club Carlson is also running a generous promotion with a chance to earn up to 100,000 points. You can choose one of five options that works best for you:
Stay 1 night, earn 5,000 bonus Gold Points
Stay 2 nights, earn 10,000 bonus Gold Points
Stay 4 nights, earn 20,000 bonus Gold Points
Stay 8 nights, earn 50,000 bonus Gold Points
Stay 20 or more nights, earn 100,000 bonus Gold Points
You can only choose once and not make changes, so you should plan your upcoming travel first, before selecting a promotion and booking your stays. It’s a bonus of 5,000 points per night (a value of $20), so this is especially attractive for low-/mid-priced properties. I’m planning to take advantage of this promotion in Bangkok, Thailand, where even the upscale Radisson Blu can be had for under $100! The promotion counts nights booked and completed between January 9th and March 31st, 2017 and you can sign up for it here!
Marriott Rewards is running another edition of their MegaBonus promotion. This time, you can earn double points on your first three stays, making it most interesting for anybody staying at fairly high-priced hotels. You have to register by March 15th and earn bonus points for stays from January 16th to April 15th, 2017. There is no downside for registering, so I’d recommend for any Marriott Rewards member to register here, so you don’t loose out on the bonus points, in case you have an unexpected stay!
