This week’s Deal Dispatch brings you cheap flights to Panama and Lima, Peru! Panama is only a short flight from the US and uses the US Dollar, making it easy to visit. Lima is the gateway to Machu Picchu, one of my favorite historic destinations, and a trip well worth planning! I’ve also found one of the largest sale I’ve seen in a while for travel cameras at Amazon!
Flights: You can currently get a round-trip ticket from Philadelphia to Panama on American airlines, starting at $348 for round-trip, all in tickets. Your travel has to be between now and early February, with the holiday season excluded! Flights go via Dallas and you can find all the details at TheFlightDeal!
If you are a history buff, you should take advantage of Avianca’s sale for tickets from Fort Lauderdale, Florida, to Lima, Peru. Lima is not only a fun city, it’s also your gateway to the Andes and the incredible Inka ruins of Machi Picchu. You can read my experience from the Inka Trail here! You can travel in February and March 2016 and find the details at TheFlightDeal!
Gear: If there ever was a destination worth taking a good camera, it’s Machu Picchu. The Inka Trail winds through the Andes, with some of the ancient ruins far away and some close up. You’ll meet amazing people, see beautiful landscapes and impressive ruins – all of that requiring a good travel camera, because you probably don’t want to carry along too much equipment on the strenuous hike! You can read my tips how to pick a travel camera and then head over to Amazon to find the great deals on cameras, including the new Sony WX500 for only $237 or bridge cameras like the Panasonic Lumix FZ70 with a 60x Zoom for $203! See the whole list here!
