Deal Dispatch: Cheap airfares for the holidays!

Christmas and the winter holidays bring some of the most expensive flight tickets from the middle of December till the beginning of January. But the time before and after often is slow for travelers with some great discounts on flights – and they are becoming available now!

Asia to Europe/America: You can fly with Air China from Hong Kong to Geneva, Switzerland, from only $422 round trip – and that includes availability over the Christmas holidays! Your stop-over is in Beijing. Air China will also take you to Washington D.C. from $466 round trip, also via Beijing!
Etihad and their partner Alitalia are offering tickets from Bangkok to Paris for even less! Flights via Abu Dhabi or Rome start from only $396 round-trip! Unfortunately, the Christmas holidays are excluded for those flights.
And with Malaysian Airlines in crisis, cutting routes, the Middle Eastern carriers are filling the gap: Qatar Airways is flying from Kuala Lumpur to Amsterdam from only $379 round-trip via their hub in Doha. There is availability from October through May of next year!

US to Europe: And the fare war over the North Atlantic is continuing. After Wow Air and Norwegian Air introduced ultra-low one-way fares starting at $99, SAS, the StarAlliance partner is getting in on the act and offering one-way fares from Miami to Copenhagen from $99! There is very limited availability at the end of September and beginning of October, so be quick!
And the first ones to bring those low fares to the North Atlantic are continuing to offer them: Norwegian Air is offering one-way fares from Boston To London from $149 one-way and slightly more from New York, Fort Lauderdale or Los Angeles. You can book them directly at Norwegian Air!
