The US Travel Association is going into the second week of their annual Daily Getaway sale today, Monday 13, 2019. The deals in the second week include Choice Hotels Privilege points, Loews Hotel and Casesar Casino vouchers, Universal amusement tickets and Avis car rentals. Find the calendar of available deals and my take on who can benefit from the deals below.
The US Travel Association works with travel providers each year to bring deals on hotels, rental cars, amusement parks and more in time for the summer travel season. In past years, it has been a great occasion to stock up on points or vouchers to make your next trips a little cheaper. There are different deals each week – some are so good, they sell out in minutes, other are less interesting and will be available through the end of the sales period. Here is the schedule of daily deals for the first week from today, Monday May 13 to Friday, May 17, 2019:
The most interesting deal this week for me are the Choice Privilege points available in packages from 14,000 to 55,000 points starting as 0.46 US cents/point. I value Choice points at 0.6 cents/point, so this is a good opportunity to stock up on the points. Choice Privilege points are some of the most difficult to use points in my experience, partly due to the limited booking window of only 100 days, but they do offer some great value in select locations, like Scandinavia.
You can also purchase hotel vouchers for Loews Resorts or Ceasar Resorts and Casinos. Make sure to read the fine print in detail – the vouchers have limited availability that’s not specified, so you don’t want to get stuck with vouchers that expire or for hotels you can find better value without limitations online.
You can also purchase Avis Rental Car vouchers or Universal amusement park tickets, but similar concerns apply, so read the terms and conditions carefully.
I expect the Choice Privilege points to sell out quickly, so you’ll have to be quick! You can find the deals, details and terms & conditions on the Daily Getaway Sale site!
