Wyndham Rewards is offering 15,000 points, good for one free night at any of their hotels, after staying twice and paying with MasterPass. You earn 7,500 points after each stay of at least one night. Given how cheap Wyndham hotels can be, this is a great deal and I have benefited from similar promotions a few times. Check out the details how you can earn a free night!
Wyndham Rewards is running one generous promotion after the other and I’m glad they do. This time, you have to book online or through their mobile app by August 31, 2018 and complete your stays by September 1, 2018. Each qualifying stay has to be at least one night, cost at least $25/night before taxes and does not include newly acquired LaQuinta hotels. GoFast and GoFree award stays are excluded. Two subsequent nights at the same hotel count as one stay, even if you book them separately. And of course, you have to sign-up or be a member of MasterPass and pay with MasterPass at the time of booking!
With more than 8,000 hotels worldwide and the Average Daily Rate (ADR) of most Wyndham brands under $100/night, it’s easy to find a cheap one-night stay to qualify (see Wyndham Facts & Figures). I value 15,000 points at $150, but it’s still pretty easy to find much better value at expensive hotels in high-cost destinations. I have booked a point-stay at the Silverado Resort in Napa, California, with room rates over $300 and at the Donatello San Francisco (over $400).
You can find the details and book your stays here registration is not required. I recommend to use the mobile app, as it seems to work more reliably. And be quick, Wyndham Rewards is now explicitly reserving the right to cancel the promotion at any time, pointing out a limited number of available points reserved for this promotion. They have done that previously and I don’t doubt they’d do it again, despite the outcry from upset travelers!
