My favorite rooftop bar in Singapore – Fullerton Bay Hotel

Despite Singapore’s reputation as being very proper and a little boring compared to bustling, fun Asian capitals like Bangkok or Hong Kong, there is plenty of evening entertainment to be found, especially if you are looking for a classy experience on a night out! My favorite destination for drinks on an evening is the Fullerton Bay Hotel and it’s stylish rooftop bar with killer views!

SIN FullertonBay MapThe Fullerton Bay Hotel, not to be confused with the old Fullerton Hotel, sits right on the Marina Bay, opposite the Marina Bay Sands hotel and mall. And that location is its greatest asset, giving the rooftop bar a grand view over the Marina Bay and off the stunning Marina Bay Sands Hotel. Even better, you have prime seats for the nightly light and laser show at the Marina Bay Sands hotel – better than at the MBS hotel itself!

SIN City - 16You can enjoy the views from a variety of seating, the high bar seats and tables, lounge-style seating near the roof edge and classic table style seating. If you are in a group and looking to enjoy the long wine, champagne and cocktail list, the lounge seating makes for a very relaxed setting. If you are planning to have some of the delicious snacks with your drinks, the table or bar seating works very well. The bar shares the rooftop with the hotel pool, making for a nice setting as well!

SIN FullertonBay Pool ViewThe incredible views, good food and drink all come at a price – The Fullerton Bay Hotel is pricey, even by high Singapore standards, so check the menu before ordering, if you are on a budget. I found the prices to be worth it for the experience and we have some very happy memories from the rooftop bar. Do make reservations or call ahead, as it gets very busy – especially if you are looking for lounge-style seating in a group! I recommend coming in the early evening, so you can enjoy views of Singapore’s skyline in the last sunlight, watch the sun set over the city and enjoy the laser show in the dark, adding up to some of the best views and images of Singapore, all made more enjoyable by good food, drink and service!
