Turkish Airlines improves Business Class Dining

Turkish Airlines is launching improved dining services for business class passengers on long-haul intercontinental flights. Passengers will be able to view and select meal choices online prior to their flight. They will also be able to dine at any time they wish during the flight, making meal services even more personal and convenient!

Turkish Airlines is seriously upgrading their business class offering: They recently announced the launch of new business class seats on new planes for mid-haul and long-haul flights. They are also opening an even more impressive lounge than the existing Istanbul Lounge at their new hub to open later this year!

I consider the current business class dining on Turkish Airlines Business Class already one of the best in the industry – the food quality is excellent and the onboard Chef is a unique offering, making dining very pleasant and leagues above the “chicken or beef” you get on US airlines! Now, Turkish Airlines is upping the ante even more. On long-haul flights, you will be able to see the food choices for your specific flights online and select your meal ahead of time. This eliminates the risk of not getting your choice of meal onboard. That’s a big deal for me, as my food allergies sometimes limit my options! You’ll also be able to have your meal at anytime during the flight for more flexibility – that’s great on long-haul flights, because each traveler has a different schedule. I might have eaten at the lounge prior to departure and want to eat later – while you came straight from a meeting and are starving!

The new service will be available only on the following routes from Istanbul:
Atlanta, Bangkok, Beijing, Bogotá, Boston, Cape Town, Chicago, Guangzhou, Hanoi, Havana, Ho Chi Minh City, Hong Kong, Houston, Jakarta, Johannesburg, Kuala Lumpur, Los Angeles, Manila, Miami, Montreal, New York, Phuket, Port Louis, San Francisco, Sao Paulo, Seoul, Shanghai, Singapore, Taipei, Tokyo, Toronto, Washington DC, Caracas, Panama City, Madagascar, Durban, Maputo, and Buenos Aires

The selection of meaIs, grouped by “red meat” , “seafood and white meat”, “pasta and others” is pretty vast and there should be something for everybody! You can find an overview of the service and a selection of the meals here!
It remains to be seen, how many options you’ll have on your specific flight. have several Turkish Airlines Business Class flights coming up, but have not been able to check this out for my itinerary. I will update this post as soon as I have been able to do so and will update my Turkish Airlines Business Class and lounge reviews after my flights!
