The Gardens by the Bay are one of my favorite places to visit in Singapore. With the two stunning domes, creating unique environments, the lush gardens and the unique SuperTrees, it offers natural beauty and a feat of engineering at the same time.

Kota Kinabalu is the gateway to the untouched nature and wildlife of Northern Borneo. And while the trips to the Orang Utan rehabilitation center, the remote Danum Valley or Mount Kinabalu are all high on my list of recommendations, the city itself has a lot to offer: with a good museum, sandy beaches and island hopping tours, you can easily fill your days. And the views along the city’s waterfront are stunning anytime of day!

Sunset is my favorite time in Phnom Penh, the Cambodian capital. When life slows down and seemingly everybody heads to the river for a stroll, a date or a game of sports, taking in the sunset before heading to drinks or dinner!
The beautiful City Court House and the park across the street, both located South of the Royal Palace, are a good place to start your stroll!
Phnom Penh is a fast-growing city and changing quickly. It has turned from the town-trodden city in shambles after the end of the civil war in 1994 to a bustling city that you can enjoy on any budget. That becomes very obvious when you visit the riverfront promenade during sunset, when everybody enjoys the calm of the day’s end, from young couples on a date to boys playing soccer or wealthy tourists going for a stroll!

Phnom Penh is the capital of Cambodia, yet most visitors bypass the city and head straight to Siem Reap to see the story of the ancient Khmer capital with its amazing temples. Bangkok is a fun city and it’s most beautiful from high above at sunset. With plenty of rooftop bars to choose from, like my favorites Octave or Vertigo, you can pick a good spot, order a drink and wait for the sun to settle over the busy city and the lights to blink all over. It’s a fantastic way to end a day in Bangkok, the City of Angels – don’t miss it!
