Fantastic Foto Friday: Meet Australia’s cutest ambassador, the Koala

The best known animal representing Australia might be the Kangaroo, but the cutest by far is the Koala bear. It’s easy to see them – they don’t move much – so check them out, for example in Sydney‘s excellent zoo!

Fantastic Foto Friday: Bondi Beach, Sydney’s favorite surf

Bondi Beach, Sydney

What makes Sydney special to me is the combination of a vibrant city with fantastic beaches and sunny weather, giving you a chance for fun and relaxation in one trip! What makes it even better is that Sydney’s Eastern Beaches are connected by a beautiful coastal walk, so you can check them out and pick your personal favorite for the day! Which one is yours?

Fantastic Foto Friday: Street Art in Melbourne, Australia

Sydney might have the stunning harbor views with the bridge and opera house, but Melbourne has some interesting sights on its own. You’ll have to look a little closer, but the street art all around the city is pretty amazing and I found myself wondering aimlessly and taking photos in the little neighborhoods – a great way to spend a leisurely day!

Fantastic Foto Friday: Perfect Roadtrip on the Great Ocean Road, Australia!

Twelve Apostle, Great Ocean Road, Australia

The Great Ocean Road is one of my favorite road trips, with stunning views all along the dramatic shore line. And the Twelve Apostle are the most amazing spot! It’s also a great getaway from Melbourne, with sandy beaches and small coastal towns to relax and enjoy a few days! If you like to drive, rent a car and try it out – it’s a trip of a lifetime!

Fantastic Foto Friday: Glenelg Townhall, Adelaide, Australia

Adelaide, the capital city of South Australia, was planned to be the capital of Australia, settled by free immigrants and not convicts like the bigger cities Sydney and Melbourne. While that plan never quite worked out, you have a very walk-able city with historic buildings like the Glenelg Townhall, a pedestrian mall and nice parks. Or you can enjoy the surrounding wine country or head out for a road trip on the Great Ocean Road!

My favorite spot for a relaxing break in Sydney: Chinese Garden

If you are looking to escape from the hustel and bustle of Sydney, Australia, you can head to the Chinese Garden at Darling Harbor. As soon as you leave the crowds of the city behind and step through the doors of the Chinese Friendship Garden, peace settles around you and you can enjoy the beautifully designed and maintained garden to … Continue reading

Fantastic Foto Friday: St Kilda Beach, Melbourne, Australia

St Kilda Beach, Melbourne

If you want to get out of bustling Melbourne for a relaxing day on the beach, it couldn’t be any easier: Just take the tram to St. Kilda and you’ll be walking along the shoreline in no time or stretch out on the white sand beach with a view over the water! This is just one of the aces up the sleeve of Australia’s second city!

Fantastic Foto Friday: Sydney Harbor Bridge

Sydney is one of the most beautiful cities in the world and it was love on first sight for me – and the stunning harbor views with the iconic bridge – the locals say: hahhbahhh bridge – are a big wow factor for anybody visiting for the first time!
And I’m still stunned every time I see it on my many return visits, feeling compelled to take one more photo! I recommend to go and take your own photos, it’s worth it!
