Fantastic Foto Friday: Relax in Hoi An, Vietnam

Hoi An in Central Vietnam is a beautiful town, offering the amenities of a small city with a relaxed vibe that’s in stark contrast to Vietnam’s big cities, like Ho Chi Minh City. So, if a ride on a bicycle along the river, reading a book with a view or just going for a stroll without getting run over by a motorcycle sound like a great escape from the big city – Hoi An is for you!

Fantastic Foto Friday: Pena Palace – A Disneyland Fantasy outside Lisbon, Portugal

Lisbon is a vibrant city with lots of things to see and do. One of my favorite day trips is to Sintra in the mountains outside Lisbon. You can see Pena Palace – that seems to be straight out of a Disney Fantasy Movie, the walls of an old moorish fortress and the Sintra Palace, all in one easy day!

Fantastic Foto Friday: Relax on Lisbon’s beaches

Lisbon is a vibrant city with lots of things to see and do. And when you need to get away from the busy city, a 15km stretch of sandy beach along the Atlantic Coast is just a short ride away – you can head to Costa Caparica, enjoy a long walk along the beach, soak up the sun, splash in the waves or kick back in one of the beach clubs!

Destination Guide: Lisbon, Portugal

Lisbon is one of the most underrated cities in Europe, but Portugal’s capital has been getting much more attention in the last view years: It has a lot to offer from historic buildings and museums to fairy tale castles and beaches and great food and nightlife. It’s easy to explore, the city is compact, locals are friendly and prices are … Continue reading

Fantastic Foto Friday: Singapore, the perfect stop-over!

Singapore Gardens by the Bay

Singapore is the perfect stop-over destination for a trip to Asia: It’s safe, well organized and great public transport makes it easy to get around. English is the first language. And there is plenty to see for a few days stop-over on your way to see the wilderness of Borneo or the beaches of Thailand. One of my top recommendations are the Gardens by the Bay with the fantastic supertrees above and the unique domes that even hold a waterfall!

Fantastic Foto Friday: Singapore Marina Bay Sands Light & Water Show

Singapore continues to improve upon itself. The laser light show at Marina Bay Sands has been one of my favorite evening events to watch and it has now been taken to a much higher level with the revamped light and water fountain show in front of the Marina Bay Sands Mall. You get a fantastic view of the Singapore Skyline by night and the well choreographed show of water fountains, lights and music is very impressive and should be high on your list of things to see in Singapore.
