This week’s Deal Dispatch brings you a sale on Norwegian Air with flights all the way through summer and travel gear to go with it!
Flights: Norewegian Air, the low-cost carrier from Scandinavia, now has flights on sale all the way through summer. With one-way flights from New York to Stockholm, Copenhagen or Oslo starting around $150 and to London under $200; or from San Francisco/Oakland to Stockholm around $200, you can put together a great trip to Europe on a budget. From Stockholm, you can continue by ferry to Helsinki or other destinations I visited on my Baltic Explorer trip! Norwegian Air is using new Boeing 787 Dreamliner planes for the long-haul flights and offers a premium economy class, if you want a little more space!
Gear: If you need a new luggage for your flight, you can currently get the PacSafe carry-on for $99 (50% off). I don’t have one myself, but they are solid quality and distinguish themselves with extra features against theft. You can check them out at Adorama!
If you need a new camera, BuyDig via eBay is offering a refurbished Nikon Coolpix P530 for $160 (64% off). It’s a bridge camera with a 42x zoom, which is helpful for wildlife photography and a lot of zoom for the price point! While it’s not the latest model and has a small-ish sensor, it’s better than what your smartphone can offer!
Another camera option is the Canon PowerShot SX50 for $150. It’s also refurbished, with a 50x zoom and HD video. It’s similar in size to the Nikon and gives you another bridge camera option with long zoom!
Amazon just launched a new budget Fire tablet, with a 7 inch display, quad-core processor and 8GB storage (you can add more storage via a micro-SD card). It’s only $50 – which is a great deal for a tablet with these specs. You can pre-order now and it’ll ship starting September 30th. It’s a great option for travel – it’s not a big risk in case it gets stolen or damaged.
