If you, like millions of others are staying at home due to the CoVid19 pandemic and are starting to get bored, thanks to advances in technology, you can travel virtually. From the San Diego Zoo to the Monterey Bay Aquarium and from the Metropolitan Opera to the Berlin Philharmonic, there is lots to do! So, grab a glass of your favorite beverage and a snack, retreat to your most comfortable place in the house and go travel the internet for some much needed relief! you’ll find a collection of virtual tours and entertainment as well as inspiring photos and travel guides for a little virtuelcation!
Many destinations have gone with the times and created online experience for a taste of what they have to offer. What started as a marketing exercise is a great escape in tough times where you have to stay home, a lot. One of my favorite places to visit in California is the excellent Monterey Bay Aquarium! They have live-cameras around the aquarium to give you a peak from afar. You can watch the jellyfish, sharks or penguins from afar!
Africa is full of wonder and my safaris in Kenya, South Africa, Namibia and Botswana are amazing memories. I still enjoy looking at the photos from these trips and going back down memory lane. My favorite was the Cape Town to Victoria Falls Adventure, a sure trip of a lifetime. But you don’t have to get into a jeep to see the animals – check out SafariLIVE with lots of videos to get a little taste from your sofa!
A big part of travel enjoyment is reading about a destination during your planning or looking at pictures from your trip afterwards.
