Fantastic Foto Friday – Angry Elephant in Hwange National Park Zimbabwe, Africa

angryelephant-rjdezember-wm

A picture says more than 1,000 words – and it is the most evident with wildlife photos: Nothing can capture the feeling of an angry elephant or a lion about to charge her prey like a photo.
Robin J. Dezember is the first guest photographer on Fantastic Foto Friday and his photography captures nature and wildlife in an amazing fashion, and his photo books are captivating.
This photo was taken in Hwange National Park in Zimbabwe as part of a tour of Southern Africa – and if you have seen elephants in the wild, you’ll know how real this photo is!

If you want to see (and download) more of Robin’s photos, you can check them out on Robin’s Photography site – it’s worth the visit, you can have a virtual safari!

CapeToVicFalls - 92

The Okavango Delta is a phenomenal experience: The huge river just fizzles out into the desert, leaving behind a stunning landscape and amazing wildlife to explore. I was fortunate to see it from the air – before exploring it in a tiny dugout canoe. I will never forget those sights…

Fantastic Foto Friday: Chobe National Park, Botswana!

Chobe ElephantCrossing

Wildlife in Africa is amazing in many of the national parks. What makes Chobe National Park in Botswana so special is its location along the river. Being able to explore the park not only by jeep, but also by boat, provided us with unique sights, like this huge elephant swimming through the river, a feat that is hard to believe and I’d never seen before!

When you watch the Orang Utan play – and observing you in return – you don’t doubt that they share 97% of our DNA, making them pretty close, if orange-haired, cousins!

Sights like these make it one of the best wildlife trips I have taken – check out my review of Sabah, Northern Borneo, the Sepilok Orang Utan Rehabilitation Center, stunning Mount Kinabalu and the remote Danum Valley!
