I always find it fascinating how Rome manages to blend the modern and the antique with ease – Vespa’s parked in front of churches from the 16th century or Ferraris zipping by 2000 year old Roman ruins, like it was nothing special. Yet, for the visitor, there IS something special on every street corner, so you’ll have lots to see on many return visits to come!
