The Hyatt Centric Fisherman’s Wharf is a solid choice in my least favorite neighborhood in the city I love. It offers modern rooms, a pool, gym and mini-mart in walking distance from the most touristy spots of San Francisco. It’s more stylish than others in the area and decent value, if you must be in the Wharf area. … Continue reading
Death Valley, USA
Death Valley is one of the hottest places on Earth, with an unbelievable temperature of 134F (56.7C) measured there. Located on the border of Nevada and California in the Western United States of America, it also has the lowest point at 86m below sea level. It earned its name during the Gold Rush, but neither the temperatures nor the name have kept countless visitors from exploring this National Park!
Robin took this stunning photo that captures the natural beauty of Death Valley – and he has many more, equally captivating photos on Robin’s Photo Site. You can view them, order photos or create photo products on the site!
The Cartwright Hotel Union Square, a Best Western Premier Collection Hotel, offers small, nicely renovated rooms in a central location with friendly service, making it a great choice for a shorter visit! If a photo like this doesn’t make you want to visit Lake Tahoe, I don’t know what will – it’s a beautiful nature destination and a great place to relax or have fun skiing or snowboarding!

We got a good deal on hoteltonight (and I had credits from a previous booking), so we were looking forward to our stay – what … Continue reading

California’s Highway 1 is my favorite road trip in the world and the stretch near Big Sur, South of Monterey is the most beautiful part. Driving the windy road along the dramatic cliff side with the mountain above you and the ocean below you in a convertible on a sunny day – driving doesn’t get any better! Now, more than … Continue reading

And when I stay at a hotel, the InterContinental San Francisco is my favorite place to stay – it’s modern room and great location, as well as the wonderful ISpa are the main reasons to come back over and over. … Continue reading
